Twenty Seven

Being American and away from my American family back at home I often look past Thanksgiving day and I try instead to be thankful everyday.  This year is my first Thanksgiving spent with Andrew (I know we've been together over five years but we always tend to not be together on the day)  Instead of having a big dinner and such I am just going to spend the day with him enjoying his company.  Later in the week (or maybe next week even) I am going to have a Thanksgiving dinner with my close friends, we are even going to watch the parade!

I miss my friends and family that are not located close to me but I love them and I am so thankful for the fact that I have them in my life.  Hopefully next year we can travel back and see them on this day.  But until then I will send them my love through notes, letters, emails, calls, and such.  I am thankful for all the things I am luck to have in my life.  My family, friends, home, kittens, and the opportunities I have had I can only be grateful for them.

So today I find you don't need to have the meal and the big get together, just reflections on you life and if you have something to be grateful and thankful for then you are in fact celebrating this holiday.  Here is to another amazing year of things and experience that we can be thankful for.
